The freedom of the press is vital, and everyone should have the right to express their views, no matter how uncomfortable they may be. Ignoring an issue just because it feels dramatic can be dangerous!

I think Telnaes is overreacting in her response to the situation. The Washington Post mentioned that they had already covered that subject in depth, providing comprehensive analysis and insights. Perhaps it’s time for her to move on to something less dramatic and focus on other significant issues that deserve attention. Continuing to dwell on this topic might not be productive and could detract from more pressing matters that require discussion. It might be beneficial for her to consider a more constructive approach moving forward.

As a longtime reader of The Post, I think they should have published her cartoon. It raises valid issues about the influence of money in politics. Kudos to Telnaes for standing up!

Oh sure, because editorial choices totally don’t influence what we see in the news at all. And how ‘brave’ of Telnaes to voice her thoughts on journalism pressures—because we really need more ‘brave’ voices like hers, don’t we?
