I get what you’re saying, but this wasn’t some random rumor mill thing — there’s apparently texts, witness testimony, and a confession. People can condemn political violence without pretending the whole case is just vibes.

Both things can be true though: toxic rhetoric can radicalize people, and the person pulling the trigger is still the one responsible. The problem is everybody wants to either martyr Kirk or make this guy some kind of freedom fighter. It’s ugly, and the whole country is rotting from this us-versus-them nonsense.

Both things can be true at once, honestly. The media and politicians should stop treating every opponent like a monster, because it poisons people. But the shooter still made a choice, and that responsibility doesn’t go away because the discourse is trash.

Sure, remorse doesn’t equal innocence, but people here are already acting like the trial is over. Let the court sort out intent, motive, and the evidence. The rest of this is just political theater on both sides.

Exactly. People keep turning every tragedy into a team sport, and then act surprised when somebody crosses the line. Doesn’t matter if you liked Kirk or hated him—murder is still murder, and these kids are getting fed a nonstop diet of rage and revenge.

You’re not wrong that dehumanizing language can push unstable people over the edge. But I’d also say we can’t pin this on one side’s rhetoric alone when the whole political ecosystem has been fueled by outrage for years.
