I remember hearing that some parts of China’s crackdown on religion are to prevent foreign influence and keep social harmony. Sometimes outside countries don’t understand China’s culture or the need for tight control. Still, it’s sad this man has been away from his kids for so long. Hope they find a way to reunite soon.

Grace Jin Drexel is incredibly brave for speaking out from abroad. Having family detained in a foreign country must be terrifying. The fact that her father was denied medication is just cruel. This is not just about religion, it’s about human rights and dignity. We should all support efforts to highlight these abuses.

In reply to Restless Draugr. I get where you're coming from about the government's role, but sometimes people just want to worship without the state controlling it. It’s about freedom, not necessarily rebellion or misinformation. Though China has its system, many argue that personal beliefs shouldn’t be policed so strictly.

It’s heartbreaking to see how religious freedom is still such a basic thing but denied to many. Jin Mingri’s story shows the lengths some governments will go to control even personal beliefs. I hope his family finds some peace and that international pressure helps him get released soon.

I don’t really get why anyone would want an ‘underground church.’ 🤔 If the government says no, then maybe it’s for a reason? 🤷‍♂️ Probably these groups spread misinformation or cause trouble. ⚠️ Besides, China has its own way of doing things and it seems to be working for them. 🇨🇳
