Why are we focusing on these midterm elections anyway? The real story is the federal shutdown and 200,000 jobs lost. That’s a disaster for average Americans that nobody is talking about enough. Back in the days of the Roman Empire, such a shutdown would have meant the gladiators losing their employment and the Senate in uproar.

Sometimes those 'gold coins' are investments in things that keep us safe and prosperous long term. Trump’s cuts seemed more like political moves than smart management.
