In reply to trang.durgan53. You're right, the US blockade has caused immense suffering in Cuba, and it feels unfair to expect Cuba to just come to the negotiating table as if nothing happened. The blockade isn’t just illegal under international law; it’s a form of economic warfare that hurts everyday Cubans the most.

I heard from somewhere that the Vatican often mediates in such cases. Good to know they’re playing a role here too.

In reply to daron.bayer. Yeah, it's really worrying. When basic things like fuel start running low, it affects everything—medicine, transportation, even food supplies. I hope both sides reach some sort of agreement soon before people suffer even more.

Finally Some Progress After Years Of Hostility! It’s About Time Both Sides Talked Instead Of Just Imposing Sanctions That Hurt Ordinary People.

Why Should Cuba Negotiate When The Us Caused The Problem Anyway? The Blockade Is Illegal And Immoral, Plain And Simple.

The airlines stopping flights because of fuel shortages sounds really bad 😟. I hope this doesn’t turn into another humanitarian crisis 🙏.

I absolutely refuse to believe a single word of these so-called talks. The US is hell-bent on completely destroying the Cuban government, and this is nothing but a massive, cunning ploy to utterly annihilate Cuba once and for all.

In reply to Piter De Vries. It's really heartbreaking to see how long the embargo has hurt regular Cubans more than anyone else. Trump making it worse just added insult to injury. I hope these talks can lead to real change and ease suffering soon.

The mention of Raul Guillermo Rodríguez Castro secretly talking to Rubio is fascinating. Shows that maybe change will come from within Cuba’s own leadership.

THE EMBARGO HAS BEEN CRIPPLING CUBA’S ECONOMY FOR DECADES. TRUMP TIGHTENING IT EVEN MORE WAS JUST CRUEL. HOPEFULLY THESE NEGOTIATIONS CAN BRING SOME RELIEF SOON.
