Given their history of stirring up controversies and pushing agendas, I'm worried about what that means for content moderation and user privacy. Honestly, I think having the Murdochs involved just means TikTok’s US arm will become even more politically biased. They always push a right-wing agenda, so I don’t see how this benefits regular users.

It’s good to cut Beijing’s influence, but if Murdoch and those media giants take over, I’m worried TikTok might just feed us a very narrow view and censor stuff they don’t like. We really need some kind of middle ground where free expression isn’t crushed.

If TikTok is gonna be under American control, I hope it means less influence from Beijing, but also hope it doesn’t turn into some kind of censorship machine run by media giants. Balance is key here.
