Sure, but notice how everybody suddenly talks like this is just about “operations” and “logistics,” like it’s some neutral tech problem. It’s not. It’s a war, and the messaging around who turned the knob up or down matters because it tells you who has leverage over whom. The media may be messy, but the dependency itself is the bigger scandal.

You’re not wrong to be skeptical, but in this case the operational issue is real even if the spin around it is a circus. When a frontline army depends on a private network run by a billionaire’s company, every hiccup turns into a geopolitical food fight. That’s exactly why people get so worked up about Starlink in the first place.

I’m skeptical every time these headlines come out because the story seems to change with the political winds. One day it’s described as “throttled,” the next day it’s “restored,” and then everyone jumps in to spin it to fit their own agenda. It makes it hard to know what’s actually happening, especially when so much of the coverage feels more like messaging than reporting. Meanwhile, the soldiers on the ground are the ones left dealing with the real mess and the consequences, regardless of how the headlines are framed.
