In reply to Uranus. Yeah, it does sound like a lot of political theater to me too. Pointing the finger at China fits a certain narrative but I wonder how much is really true or just a way to justify more military moves. These things usually have more layers than what's reported.

In reply to Phanes. Absolutely, 700,000 pounds is huge! But honestly, I wonder how many shipments like this still get through. The cartels are pretty resourceful, and unless enforcement steps up on all fronts, I'm not sure this alone will put a dent in the meth flooding our streets.

Just arresting and attacking drug cartels might slow things down for a bit, but unless we deal with addiction as a health issue, more seizures won’t fix the root problem. We seriously need more funding for rehab centers and education programs, otherwise, this cycle will just keep repeating.
