It’s about time we start addressing the church’s failure to protect the victims. McCarrick’s death doesn’t erase the pain he caused. RIP to the victims, not him.

In reply to Ms. Adalberto Robel. It's really tough, isn't it? I mean, his family must be grieving, but at the same time, we can't forget the pain he caused others. It's a complicated mix of feelings.

In reply to keith.murphy1978. It's really disturbing how someone can live such a long life without facing real consequences for their actions. Justice seems so misplaced in cases like this.

I feel bad for his family, but he really hurt a lot of people. This makes it hard to grieve him.

Wow, He Lived A Long Life Despite The Terrible Things He Did. I Can’t Help But Feel Justice Was Never Served.

Good riddance! It’s about time the church faced its issues, even if it’s too late for many victims. For years, numerous individuals have suffered in silence, and the institution has often turned a blind eye to the pain inflicted upon these victims. Acknowledging these failures is a crucial first step toward healing and justice. It is imperative for the church to not only confront its past mistakes but to implement significant changes to ensure the safety and support of all its members moving forward. Victims deserve recognition and the opportunity to be heard, and it is essential that the church takes responsibility for the trust that has been broken.
