Saying 'crashes happen sometimes' kind of ignores the fact that this was due to negligence in the certification process. They should be held accountable to make sure this never happens again, not just let it slide with some money.

Why all the fuss? Boeing apologized and is working on fixing their safety systems, ya know. Crashes happen in aviation sometimes, even with the best companies, no cap. At least they’re cooperating with the authorities and paying damages, that’s something, for real.

Honestly, I feel like Boeing just got off way too easy here. Paying a billion dollars might sound like a lot, but for a company that big, it’s probably just a slap on the wrist. What about justice for the families who lost their loved ones?

This is ridiculous. Boeing caused two major crashes, killing hundreds, yet they don’t even have to plead guilty to fraud. They put profits over people’s lives, plain and simple. The justice system clearly favors big corporations over ordinary people.

I think the deal makes sense 👍. Boeing is taking responsibility by paying a hefty fine 💰 and promising to improve safety 🛡️. Sometimes you gotta move forward rather than dragging things on forever in court ⚖️. The guilty plea and probation show they’re being held accountable ✅.
