But threatening harm to a Supreme Court Justice, even if she didn't go through with it, is no small matter. People are scared because the courts are such an important part of our democracy. Still, it's good she called 911 on herself—that shows some responsibility.

Violence is never the answer, no matter what side you’re on. I’m glad she cooperated, but the fact she even planned this is unsettling. We need better support systems so folks don’t end up in situations like this.

I don’t know why people get so worked up about the sentence. Did she actually hurt anyone? Didn’t she give up on the plan herself? Isn’t life complicated? Isn’t this situation more nuanced than just black and white?

I think the judge made a fair call considering Sophie Roske called 911 on herself and didn’t actually commit violence. Maybe mental health issues need more attention in such cases.

I been hearing different stuff about this case, ya know. Somebody said she was angry about abortion rights, others say it’s all a political setup, legit. Either way, the eight years seems kinda soft for what she planned, no cap.
