Your view of the cartels indicates a certain naivety about what they and who they are, they are fully armed with state of the art weapons, the probability of the origin of those weapons being those abandoned by Biden In Afghanistan is not improbable. The point being, they deserve the terrorist designation they have been given. Venezuelan, Mexican, all the same, how many people have died fentanyl supplied by these groups? 550K more? what do these smarter policies and "community support" look like? Lay that out for me please. Dead they don't do anything.

But the US also has a history of exaggerating claims to justify actions. It seems like both sides have their agendas, making the truth really murky.

In reply to shayne.gottlieb32. I totally agree with you. War and threats only make things worse and hurt the people who have nothing to do with the conflict. Dialogue is the only way to find a peaceful resolution. Hopefully, both sides realize that before things get even more out of hand.
